Folksworth 15

Muss' Running Junk

I feel very happy this evening. An absolute u-turn from the recent low points, doubts and general whingeing.

Todays Folksworth15 race was a huge test of the training and the marathon plans in general.

I used to live in Folksworth and have zero memory of this race going on, but I thought I’d have a bit of an advantage from knowing the course :S

The plan was 6 minute miles for as long as possible (at least ten miles) then use the rest as a bit of a mental test for the last bit of the marathon.

From the off we had a really good group going (including Paul Lunn who ran similar pace group at Nene Valley 10) and fell into the required pace nicely


There was a lot made of the hills. I couldn’t remember them being that bad.
